Joseph Isaacson, M.D.
Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Isaacson has lived in California most of his life. He earned his undergraduate degree from University of California, Santa Barbara and his medical degree at University of Southern California. He returned to Michigan for his internship and residencies in general surgery and orthopedic surgery at the University of Michigan Hospitals.
As a private practice orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Isaacson spe¬cializes in working with children and people with congen¬ital abnormalities and small stature. He also specializes in joint reconstructive surgery in young adults. Dr. Isaacson works at City of Hope with childhood cancer patients. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthopedics at the University of Southern California and a member of the medical staff at Children's Hospital Los Angeles where he has served on many medical committees including the Medical Executive Committee. He is also on staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he has held more than 14 committee and board offices.
Dr. Isaacson has enjoyed authoring a number of research articles and presentations. He is Board Certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is also a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America. He lives in Encino with his wife and he has two grown daughters. Dr. Isaacson and his wife enjoy skiing and bicycling.
